since the angles are complement
(2x+10)+ (x+20)= 90
3x + 30= 90
3x= 60
x = 20°
therefore x is 20°
(2x+10)+ (x+20)= 90
3x + 30= 90
3x= 60
x = 20°
therefore x is 20°

Given : Two complementary angles measure (2x+10) and (x+20)
To find : Value of x
Solution:
complementary angles adds up to 90°
2x + 10 + x + 20 = 90
=> 3x + 30 = 90
Dividing both sides by 3
=> x + 10 = 30
Subtracting 10 from both sides
=> x = 20
Value of x = 20
Angles = 2x + 10 = 2 * 20 + 10 = 50°
x + 30 = 20 + 20 = 40°
50° + 40° = 90°
