let the ratios be 7x and 8x respectively.
so,
as they are complementary,
> 7x + 8x = 90°
> 15x = 90°
> x = 6°
so the angles are :
7x = 7× 6 = 42°
8x = 8× 6 = 48°
so,
as they are complementary,
> 7x + 8x = 90°
> 15x = 90°
> x = 6°
so the angles are :
7x = 7× 6 = 42°
8x = 8× 6 = 48°

Hi Friend,
Let x = the small angle and 72x equal the larger. The sum is 180
x+72x=180....this gives 2x+7x=360 (multiplying by 2)
solve 9x=360 therefore x=40 72⋅40=140 the larger angle
the answer is 40 and 140
