Azeotropic mixture is a mixture in which their proportion become same in the solution and in the vapour phase. Two components in the ratio x : y form azeotropic mixture. If two components are mixed in the ratio x : 2y then extra y amount will be evaporated before getting azeotropic solution. As ky moles of y will be evaporated before getting azeotropic mixture where k is a constant term.
