since pr is 5 cm so pt will be 10 cm
and pt and ps will be equal so ps is 10 cm

hamlik: how can you say that pr is half of pt and pt equals to ps

Answer:

The length of PS is 10 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given two concentric circles with center O. PRT and PQS are tangents to  the inner circle from a point P lying on the outer circle.

PR=5 cm.

we have to find the length of PS.

As we know radius from circle bisect the chord

⇒ PT=2(PR)=2(5)=10 cm

By the theorem i.e  tangent drawn from the same point ta a circle are equal in length.

⇒ PS=PT

As PT=10 cm ⇒ PS=10 cm

The length of PS is 10 cm.
