Let us two consecutive even numbers are

X, X+2


Then


{(X+2)/2} - X/4 = 5


(2X+4)/4-X/4 = 5


(2X+4-X)/4 = 5

( X+4 ) /4 = 5

X+4 = 5×4 = 20

X = 20-4 = 16

X+2 = 18


Now check


18/2 - 16/4 = 9-4 = 5
