let the smaller number = x

larger number = x+1

According to question,

x/4 - (x+1)/5 = 1

{5x - 4(x+1)}/20 = 1

5x - 4x - 4 = 20×1

x - 4 = 20

x = 4+20 = 24

Smaller number= 24

Larger number = 24+1 = 25
