The reason is that black absorbs more heat than silver. Black absorbs all the heat and it will transfer the heat into the surrounding more rapidly as compared to silver in which the process of heat transfer into the surrounding is low and temperature of container x will be low than Y.

The second reason is that steed is a good conductor of heat than clay. Steel absorbs heat and transfers it into the surrounding more rapidly than clay which is a bad conductor and therefore the temperature of Y container will be high than X container.
