if the length of wire a would be doubled, its area of cross section will be half as compared to wire b.
so, now the resistance of wire a would be 4 times as compared to wire b.

area A1=2a. area A2=a
resistance if was r, *ur question is incomplete *
r1/r2=l1/A1×A2/l2
x/r2=l/2a*2l/a
x/r2=1/4
r2=4x.
So, the resistance will be 4 times of the original one.
