Two cross roads each of width 5 m, run at right angles through the centre of a

rectangular park of length 80 m and breadth 45 m and parallel to its sides.

i) Find the area of the roads.

ii) Also, find the cost of constructing the roads at the rate of Rs 210 per m2​

length of a road = 80m

length of b road = 45 m

area of roads = 45×5 + 80×5

= 625 m^2

now cost per m^2 = 210

for 625 m^2 , cost = 210 ×625 = 131250 rs.
