☯Dear User!☯

Question: Two cross roads each of width 5 m run at right angles through the centre of a rectangular park of length 70 m and breadth 45 m and parallel to its sides.Find the area of the roads .Also find the cost of constructing the roads at the rate of rs 105 per m²

Answer:

Required Total Area of crossed Roads = (550m²)

Required Total Cost of constructing the roads = Rs 57750.

Method Of Solution:

In this Question , Given that Two cross roads each of width 5 m run at right angles through the centre of a rectangular park of length 70 m and breadth 45 m and parallel to its sides.

Length of Rectangular Park = 70 Meters

Breadth of Rectangular Park = 45 metres

Now, According to the Question's Statement!

Statement: Two cross roads each of width 5 m run at right angles through the centre of a rectangular park !

Area of first roads with width = (70×5)

Area of first roads with width  = (350)m²

Also, Area of Second roads with width  = ( 45×5)

Area of Second roads with width  = 225m²

Now, Area of Two Common cross roads each of width   = (5×5)

Area of Two cross Common roads each of width   =(25)m²

Therefore, Total Area of Cross roads = (Area of first roads with width) + ( Area of Second roads with width) - ( Area of Two cross Common roads each of width)

•°•Total Area of Cross roads = (350m²)+(225m²)-(25m²)

Total Area of crossed  roads = (575-25)

•°• Total Area of crossed Roads = (550m²)

Hence, Required Total Area of crossed Roads = (550m²)

Now, According to the Question Statement!

Statement: find the cost of constructing the roads at the rate of rs 105 per m²

Cost of constructing the roads  = Area Area of crossed Roads ) × ( At the rate of constructing )

Total Cost of constructing the roads  = (550) × ( 105)

•°• Total Cost of constructing the roads = Rs 57750

Hence, Required Total Cost of constructing the roads = Rs 57750.

Step by Step Explanation:

Length of park = 70 m

Breadth of Park = 45

Area of 1st park with length = 70×5

Area of 1st park with length = 350m^2

Area of 2nd park with length = (45×5) = 225m^2

Now, ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION!

Total Area of Cross roads = (Area of first roads with width) + ( Area of Second roads with width) - ( Area of Two cross Common roads each of width)

Total Area of Cross roads = (350m^2)+(225m^2)-(25m^2)

= 550m^2

ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION ⭕

Total Cost of constructing the roads = 550 × 105

Total Cost of constructing the roads = Rs 57750
