area of first road = 5m X 70m
= 350m square
area of second road = 5m X 45m
= 225m square
area of the region common in both the roads = 5m X 5m
= 25m square
therefore, area of both the roads = (225m2 + 350m2) - 25m2
= 550m2
= 350m square
area of second road = 5m X 45m
= 225m square
area of the region common in both the roads = 5m X 5m
= 25m square
therefore, area of both the roads = (225m2 + 350m2) - 25m2
= 550m2

Answer:
Here You Go Mate :-
Explanation:
Area Of 1st Road =
=> 45 x 5
=>225 sq. m
Area of 2nd Road =
=>70 x 5
=>350 sq. m
NOTE : As they roads are over lapping in the centre we need to minus the square in the middle. Area of the Square = 5 x 5 = 25
Therefore, total area is 225 + 250 - 25 = 550 sq. m
