Two cross roads of width 5m run at right angles through the centre of a rectangular

field of length 60m and breadth 50m and are parallel to its sides. Find the area of the

cross roads. Also find the cost of plastering the road at the rate of ₹55 per.sq.m.

length = 60

breath= 50

area of road= 60× 5=300

area of road =50×5=250

total area= 250+300=550

area of width = 5×5= 25

final area of road =550-25=525

Cost =525x55

Cost =28,875
