Area of the paths = Area of the entire rectangular park - 4 corner rectangles

= Area ABCD - Area AEPJ - Area BFQK - Area CGRL - Area DISH

= 75 m x 55 m - 4 x (75 - 5)/2 x (55 - 5)/2

= 75x55 sq m - 70x50 sq m

= 25(15x11 - 14x10) sq m

= 25(165 - 140) sq m

= 25x25 sq m

= 625 sq m
