area of first road 74×4= 296m²

area of second road =48×4=192m²

area of the common part of cross road with 4 m width that lies at the

center of the park 4x4 = 16m²

area of roads = area of first road +area of second cross road−common area

=(296+192)−16

=(296+192)−16=488−16
