Two cubes are of 10 cm placed next to each other forms a cuboid of length 20 cm.

Therefore,

length of cuboid = 20cm

Breadth of cuboid = 10 cm

Height of cuboid = 10 cm

Volume of cuboid

= length * breadth * height

= 20cm * 10cm * 10 cm

= 2000 cm^3

Surface area of the cuboid,

= 2 ( length * breadth + length * height + height * breadth)

= 2 ( 200cm^2 + 200cm^2 + 100cm^2)

= 2 (500cm^2)

= 1000cm^2
