Length of the cuboid formed = 4 +4 = 8 cm

Width of cuboid = 4 cm

Height of cuboid = 4 cm


TSA = 2(lb +bh + hl)

= 2 (8*4 + 4 *4 + 4* 8)

= 2(32 + 16 + 32)

= 2(80)

= 160 cm^2

If we join both the cubes together , a cuboid will be formed .

length of the cuboid = 4 + 4 = 8 cm

Breath of cuboid = 4 cm

Height of cuboid = 4 cm

therefore ,

Surface Area = 2( lb + bh + hl )

=> 2 ( 8 x 4 + 4 x 4 + 4 x 8 )

=> 2 ( 32 + 16 + 32 )

=> 2 ( 64 + 16 )

=> 2 ( 80 )

=> 160 cm²

therefore ,

Surface area of cuboid formed = 160 cm²
