Step-by-step explanation:

Two cubs with edge length 8 cm are joined

new length = 2 (8 cm) = 16 cm

new breadth = 8 cm

new height = 8 cm

Surface area of cuboid 2 (lb+bh+hl)

=2[16×8+8.8+8×16]

2[320]=640cm

Answer :

  • surface area of resulting cube is 90cm²

Given :

  • Two cubes each edge is 3cm joined end to end

To find :

  • surface area of resulting cuboid

Solution :

if two cubes joined them length of resulting cube becomes 6cm , height becomes 3cm and breadth becomes 3cm so ,

  • Given Two cubes each if edge is 3cm so ,

  • Length is 3cm
  • breadth is 3cm
  • height is 6cm

As we know that ,

  • Surface area of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + lh)

● 2(3×3 + 3×6 + 6×3)

● 2(9 + 18 + 18)

● 2(45)

● 90

Hence, surface area of resulting cuboid is 90cm²
