Side of the cube =6cm
We know that, Total no. of sides in a cube are 6 .
Let one cube be A and other be B.
when two cubes are joined to form a cuboid, 5 sides of Cube A take part and 5 sides of cube B take part .
Hence , Surface area of the resulting cuboid =5a^2 + 5a^2
=5 (6×6)+5 (6×6)
=5×36+5×36
=180+180
=360cm.sq
