Dimensions of resulting cuboid arelength = (8 + 8 ) cm = 16cm

breadth = 8 cm

height = 8 cm

so,

Surface area of cuboid = 2 (lb + bh + hl) = 2 (16*8 + 8*8 + 8*16) = 2 (128 + 64 + 128)

= 2* 320= 640

Hence surface area of resulting cuboid is 640 cm2.

Step-by-step explanation:

dimensions \: of \: resulting \: cuboid \\  length = 8 + 8 = 16 \\  breadth \: and \: height \: will \: remain \\ same \:  = 8cm

surface \: area \: of \: cuboid \:  \\  = 2(lb + bh + hl) \\  = 2(16 \times 8 + 8 \times 8 + 8 \times 16) \\  = 2(128 + 64 + 128) \\  = 2 \times 320 \\  = 640 \:  {cm}^{2}

Hope it helps
