We know that, when two cubes are joined they form cuboid:

Breadth of cuboid= 4cm

Height of cuboid= 4cm

Surface area of cuboid = 2(lb+bh+lh)

2(8×4+4×4+4×8)

= 2(32+16+32)

= 2(80)
