Answer:

volume of cube=a^3

cubic root of 64=a

a=4cm

new dimensions of the two cubes joined will become a cuboid of dimension 4×8×4

surface area = 2 (lb+bh+hl)

= 2 (4×8+8×4+4×4)

= 2 (32+32+16)

= 2 (80)

= 160 sq. cm

Surface Area of cuboid =2(LB+BH+HL)

=2(8×4+4×4+4×8)

=2(32+16+32)

=2×80

Surface Area of cuboid =160cm²
