Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

formula of surface area of cube=6a2(a=side)

6×12×12

144×6

684cm2

Two cubes=area of 1cube×2

Answer:Hey!The answer is 1440cm2

Step-by-step explanation:In this question it is given that there are two cubes with length of side 12 cm each.We all know that ever side of a cube is equal.

Now if we join two such cubes end to end we would get a cuboid.Since the top and bottom surfaces of both the cubes will get attached to one another the length of the resulting cuboid will become=12+12=24cm.However the height and breadth will remain unchanged. So it's dimensions are l=24cm,b=12cm and h=12cm.

So it's surface area=2(lb+bh+hl)=2(24×12+12×12+12×24)=1440cm2

Hope it helps!!!
