Two cubes of edge 14 cm each are joined end to end to form a cuboid. Find the volume and the total surface area of the cuboid.

Explanation:

edge of cube=14cm

new dimensions(after joining):-

lenght=14+14=28cm

breadth=14cm

HEIGHT=14cm

volume of the cuboid=l×b×h

=24×14×14

=4704cm³

T.S.A.=2(lb+bh+lh)

=2(24×14+14×14+14×24)

=2(336+196+336)

=2(868)

=1736cm²
