GIVEN -

cube of edge = 7 cm.

TO FIND -

TOTAL SURFACE AREA OF RESULTING CUBOID

SOLUTION -

Length of the resulting cuboid = 14 cm (l)

(l)Breadth of the resulting cuboid = 7 cm (b)

(b)And the height of the resulting cuboid = 7 cm (h)

(h)The total surface area of the cuboid is = 2 (lb+bh+lh)

= 2 ( 14 × 7 + 7 × 7 + 14 ×7 )

= 2 ( 98 + 49 + 98)

= 2 ( 245)

= 490 cm²

HENCE THE TOTAL SURFACE AREA OF RESULTING CUBOID IS 490 cm²
