Step-by-step explanation:

Given Two currents 0.5 mA and 5 mA flow towards the junction in a circuit and three currents 1 mA ,x and 2mA flow away from the junction . the value of x (in mA) is?

  • So we have at the junction current entering in is equal to current passing out.
  • So we have the two current flowing towards junction  will be 0.5 mA + 5 mA = 5.5 mA
  • So we have the three currents flowing away from the junction will be                                              1 mA + x + 2mA = 3 mA + x
  • So we get
  •                         5.5 = 3 + x
  •                     Or 5.5 – 3 = x
  •                 Or x = 2.5 mA
