Two cyclist start from the the same point of a mountain. One travels 1200 m downwards and other travels 235 m upward . How far they are from each other ?

Distance traveled by the 1st cyclist = + 1200 m

Distance travelled by the 2nd cyclist = - 235 m

Gap between them = 1200 + ( - 235 )

= 1200 - 235

= 965 m
