229.95 V across the device of 11 W, 220 V ratting is sufficient to burn the fuse of device

Explanation:

given data

devices 1 power = 44 W

voltage = 200 V

devices 2 power = 11 W

voltage = 220 V

solution

we know that here Resistance that is express as

Resistance R = \frac{V^2}{W}  ......................1

put here value for both device

device 1 Resistance R = \frac{200^2}{44}

device 1 Resistance R =  909.09

device 2 Resistance R = \frac{220^2}{11}

device 2 Resistance R = 1100

connected in series

so current will be

current I = \frac{V}{R}

current I = \frac{220+200}{1100+909.09}

current I = 0.209

so

voltage across device 1 = I × R

voltage across device 1 = 0.209 × 909.09 = 189.99

voltage across device 2 = I × R

voltage across device 2 = 0.209 × 1100 = 229.95

so here 229.95 V across the device of 11 W, 220 V ratting is sufficient to burn the fuse of device
