Two dice are thrown at random

and their probability

S={ (1,1),(1,2)...........(6,6)}

n(s)=36

Event A be the sum of the 2no.

appearing on the die is more than 9

A={(3,6),(4,5),(4,6),(5,4),(5,5),(5,6),

(6,3),(6,4),(6,5),(6,6)}

n(A)=10

p(A)=n(A)/n(s)

=10/36

=5/18
