Find the probability of getting


(i) Same number on both the dice
(ii) Different number on both the dice. ​

Answer:

the probability of getting same number is 1/6

the probability of getting different number is 5/6

i)p = no. of outcomes/total no. of outcomes

p = 6/36

p = 1/6

ii)p = 1 - p(not getting a same no.)

p = 1- 1/6

p = (6 - 1)/6

p = 5/6
