I f two dice are thrown then the total number of outcomes is equal to 36.
And favorable outcomes are--
3+4,4+3,4+4
So,
P (E)=No. of favourable outcomes /Total no. of outcomes.
=3/36
=1/12

Let E be the event 'the sum of two nymber on the die greater than 6 but less than 9'
Total possibilities = 11
Total probability = 36
Therefore, probability of E = 11/36
