Two dice are thrown simultaneously. What is the probability that (i) thesum of the numbers on both the dice will be a prime number less than 10 (ii) at least one of the dice shows 3

a) total no. of favourable outcome =36
No.of possible outcome =13
So p(E)=no. Of favourable outcome divided by total no. of possible outcome
So 13/36=1/2
b) so no. of possible outcome=11
So p(E)=11/36
