Two dice are thrown simultaneously.

∴ Total no. of outcomes = 6² = 36.

If the sum is divisible by 4, then the possible sums are 4, 8 and 12.

3 outcomes in which the sum is 4:

(1, 3),  (2, 2)  (3, 1)

5 outcomes in which the sum is 8:

(2, 6),  (3, 5),  (4, 4),  (5, 3),  (6, 2)

1 outcome in which the sum is 12:

(6, 6)

∴ No. of favourable outcomes = 3 + 5 + 1 = 9.

Probability  =  9/36  =  1/4.

Hope this helps.

Plz ask me if you've any doubts.

Thank you. :-))
