Two dice, one blue and one grey are thrown at the same time. What is the probability that the

sum of the two numbers appearing on the top of the dice is

(i) 8 ?

(ii) 13 ?

(iii) Less than or equal to 12 ?​

(i) Probability of getting the sum 8

= These are the ways (2,6) (3,5) (4,4) (5,3) (6,2) by which the sum can be eight. There are 6×6 = 36 probabilities.

So probability of getting 8 as the sum is 5/36....

(ii) Not possible

(iii) It's probability is 36/36 = 1

As everytime we will throw a dice it get the sum less than or equal to one......so probability is equal to 1.
