there are 36 combination of rolls you can get from two dice. When you consider the sum being 10, there are only 3 combinations. So, the probability of getting a 10 would be 3/36 = 1/12.

hope it helps... thankyou

two dice are thrown

let s be the sample space

n(S)= 36

let A be an event sum of the dice on upper face is 10

n(A)= 3

P(A)= n(A)/n(S)

= 3/36

=1/12
