Distillate is obtained by heating the liquid and cooling back the vapours.

Example :- when we seperate salt and water then we get water as dissilate.

Filtrate is the solution obtained after passing the mixture through filter paper during the process of filtertation.

Example :- when we seperate chalk and waterwater we get water as a filtrate.
