Degree of saturation refers to theamount of solute dissolved in a solvent at a certain temperature. If thesolvent could dissolve more solute than is present, the solution isunsaturated. If the solvent has dissolved the maximum amount ofsolute possible (at that temperature),the solution is saturated.
