Two different bodies are completely immersed in water and undergo same loss in weight. Is it necessary that their weight in air should also be the same? Explain

When an object is placed in water, the loss of weight of the object is equal to the weight of the water displaced.

So, if both the objects undergo the same loss of weight it means that both of them displace the same quantity of water, which means that both the objects have the same volume.

Two objects having the same volume will have the same weight if and only if they have the same density and are weighed at the same location or at locations where the acceleration due to gravity is the same.

Assuming that the two objects are weighed at the same place, they would have different weights if they have different densities
