Consecutive integer pairs can be selected in the following ways

1,2

2,3

3,4

99...

So, we have a possible 99 pairs.

The number of ways of selecting 2 integers from 100 integers =100C2

∵2 integers are selected at random, the required probability is

=99100C2

=99÷100×992

=99×2100×99

=2100

=150
