Two diverging light rays originating from the same point have an angle of 10° between them, after reflection from a plane mirror, will have an angle of 10° between them.

  • According to laws of reflection,

" Angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection".

  • When the two diverging light rays fall on the plane mirror, they get reflected back having the same angle with the normal.
  • The angle between these two reflected light rays can be found by extending reflected rays towards the virtual side of the plane mirror.
  • Thus, we find that even after reflection from the plane mirror, the angle between the two rays will still be 10°.
