Two drums hold 180 litres and 204 litres of water respectively. Find the capacity of the largest bucket
that can be filled an exact number of times from each drum.​

In order to Tfind the capacity of the largest bucket that can be filled an exact number of times from each bucket, we have to factorize both the quantities of two buckets:

i.e. 180 = 3 x 4 x 15

and 204 = 3 x 4 x 17

Now LCM of 180 & 204 = 3 x 4 x 15 x 17 = 3060.

Thus the capacity of the largest bucket that can be filled an exact number of times from each bucket of 180 L and 204 L is 3060 L.

We can say this because the 180 L bucket can fill the 3060 L bucket in exact 15 times, similarly, the 204 L bucket can fill the 3060 L bucket in exact 17 times.
