Given Two electric bulbs P and Q have their resistances in ratio 1:2 .
They are connected in series across a battery.
Series means same current will be in circuit
.Let it be I.
Relation between Power and ResiatanceP=VxI
by Ohm's law : V=IR
P=I²R
By taking ratio :P1/P2=1/2
∴P1:P2=1:2
⇒The ratio of power dissipation is equal to ratio of resistance offered.
