two electric bulbs P and Q have the resistance is in the ratio of 1 ratio 2 they are connected in series across a battery find the ratio of the power dissipation in these bulbs

solution : Since I is constant as resistances are connected in series,
therefore P is inversely proportional to R
hence,
=> P1 : P2 = R1: R2
since R2 : R1 = 1:2
=> P1 : P2 = 1:2
