Answer:

Given,

Moles of Cu=0.4

Number of moles of Al=?

According to Faraday's second law:

moles of Almoles of Cu=chemical equivalent of Alchemicaf eqivalent of Cu -----------(1)

Chemical equivalent=valencyatomic weight

For CuSO4

Cu2++2e−→Cu

and for AlCl3

Al3++3e−→Al

Thus, Chemical equivalent of Cu =21

and Chemical equivalent of Al =31

Answer:

the current passed will be same as they are in series. Hence we use no. of moles deposited is inversely proportional to no. of electrons transferred
