hey!
(10)( i) electronic configuration is done of electrons
so atomic no = no of protons
and no of protons= no of electrons
electronic configuration of element X = (17 ) = 2,8,7
electronic configuration of element Y= (12) = 2,8,2
______________________________
(ii) the names are cations and anions
___________________________
(iii) element X will again electrons as it needs 1 more electron to complete its octect it will become anion
element Y will loose electrons as it has only 2 electrons in its outermost shell it will become cation
