a). Number of valence electron increases when we move from left to right in a period So,Number of valence electron in the atom of 'p'=1.
number of valence electron in the atom of'q'=2.

b). formula of oxides of 'p'= P20. and formula of oxides of 'q' = QO.

C). Formula of chlorides of 'p'=PCl
and formula of chlorides of 'q'=QCl2.

Explanation:

  1. as we move from left to right in a same period then the number of valance electron increases.. so the number of valance electron of p is 1 and q is 2...
  2. by criss cross method formula of their oxide comes out tob be..... P2O and QO...
  3. same as above the formula of their chlorides is PCl and QCl2....

HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU....
