Two elements X and Y have atomic numbers 2 and 6 respectively. Write the lectronicconfiguration for these elements. To which period of the modern periodic table do these two elements belong? What type of bond will be formed between them and why?

I only know the elements and the electronic confiuration.

Helium has atomic number 2.
Its electronic configuration is:
K:2  L:0 M:0

Carbon has atomic number 6.
Its electronic configuration is:
K: 2   L:4  M:0

its electronic configuration :K-2
IT BELONGS TO PERIOD I

The element with atomic number 6 is carbon -C
its electronic configuration is K-2 ,L-4
IT BELONGS TO PERIOD 2
