Given:

  • Two end points of coordinates are A (10,2) and B (6,8).

To Find:

  • Slope of the line.

Formula Used:

  • \sf{Slope \:  of \:  line =  \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1} }

Solution:

Here,

  • \sf{x_1 = 10}

  • \sf{x_2 = 6}

  • \sf{y_1 = 2}

  • \sf{y_2 = 8}

Substituting values,

 \\ \longrightarrow\sf{ \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1} } \\ \\   \\ \longrightarrow\sf{ \dfrac{8 - 2}{6 - 10}} \\  \\  \\ \longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{\cancel{6}}{\cancel{-4}}} \\  \\  \\ \longrightarrow\sf{ -  \frac{3}{2} }

Thus,

\therefore The slope of line is -3/2.
