Two equal cubes are placed adjointly in a row.Find the ratio of total surface area of the new cuboid to that of the sum of the surface areas of two cubes.​

Let one side of the cube be 'a'

then, TSA of the cube is 6a^2

If two cubes are joined, then resultant TSA is

=> 2(6a^2) - 4a^2

=> 8a^2         ---(1)

Now, sum of surface areas of two cubes

= 12a^2   ---(2)

So, required ratio is 4:3
