Answer: let the shorte side be x m then longer will be2x-5 m.

Perimeter=55 m

2(l+b) =55

2(x+2x-5) =55

2(3x-5) =55

6x-10=55

6x=55+10

6x=60

x=10

Therefore breadth =10m

Length = 2(10) -5= 20-5=15
