let the length of the third side be x m
length of each of the two equal sides = x-5 m
perimeter of the triangle=55m
according to the question:
=> x+(x-5)+(x-5)=55
=> x+x-5+x-5=55
=> 3x-10=55
=> 3x=65
=> x=65/3
=> x= 21.67
length of third side=21.67m
length of each of two equal sides=21.67-5
= 16.67 m
